How long is my Food Handlers Card valid?
It is valid for 3 years. At the end of that period, you will need to retake the course and pass the exam.
eFoodhandlers makes that process simple and straightforward.
How many times can I take the exam?
You can take the exam up to 2 times. There is not an extra charge for retaking the course/exam a second time.
Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) wants all food workers to acquire food safety training from an authoritative source like eFoodhandlers. Your Colorado Food Handlers Card from eFoodHandlers shows CDPHE that you have acquired training from an ANSI accredited source that align with Colorado rules.
